Page Notes
Funny how things work. I've had this image in my head of a snake free-falling through space for a long time. Some versions included ceiling tiles, some didn't. Doing searches for "snake falling through air" is not the most pleasant. Gods help the folks in the Philippines who had a ginormous serpent fall through *their* ceiling tiles during a company meeting. Okay, I'll stop there. Anyway, since life imitates art a lot in my world I started worrying about what the heck this image was going to portend? Welp, we don't have the test results back yet (and we're crossing ALL the fingers and other available digits), but it was a long day. And also we're adopting a dog, much faster than I'd thought possible these days, so everything has wrapped together in a freaked out, joyful whirl and you just gots to ride along and try to remember that these are all, as my incredibly wise friend (and inspiration for Cherry Bomb) once said, "White people problems. I mean, no on is trying to kill me." We'll manage.
About the Author
Molly Demeter Sokolow Hayden (or Modemeter, for obvious reasons of length) grew up surrounded by her father’s comic book collection, sometimes literally. She fell in love with Will Eisner’s Spirit at an inappropriately young age and wishes she could draw like Jaime Hernandez. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, her daughter, and her cat, and sneaks down to her drawing table whenever she can.
